Hi

we recently purchased a Expanda outback 2018, great condition, everything g works exceptionally ,
The only thing is that the electric ignition won't ignite the domestic gas stove. The gas is feeding perfectly as I can light it with a lighter or match, it seems that there is no power going to the switch, the previous owners reckon they barely used it. It all looks in brand new condition.
Hoping it's something g simple

cheers

if your van has the type of stove with an opening glass lid, this lid also has a cut off switch which will not allow the stove to spark, try adding a little pressure to the open lid to see if the switch needs adjusting, ours was limited by the way they installed the curtain rods and curtains in the kitchen, we now hold it open with a bungee to keep the switch active as any movement interfered with the switch

Underneath on the wall or hidden in nearby cupboard will be a 2 pin round plug with a light cable running from it, this is the 12v supply for the stove you also need the battery turned on..,,,,,,,,,, its either that, the lid cut out switch or the sparker prong has crud on it or the gap is too much.

My thetford stove has a box mounted on the back (very difficult to see) which converts 12v to spark grade . It has fallen off several times so, if yours has one, then it may have become disconnected - or is faulty
