Just bought a delonghi dehumidifier dds25 for the van while we are not using it as we are in the tropics and I was worried about mould in the new van, has anyone else used one?

Cant help you out there sorry mate, but the problem i have during storage is bloody ants! Looks like the bastards crawl up rear right stabiliser leg, straight into the drains and in they go. Giving me the shits!

We use a couple of these between trips to capture moisture, work a treat. Get them from Reject Shop.

Melb, Vic.
We also use the little tub things with granules in them. Work ok. For ants we spray the legs and tyres with SURFACE SPRAY. Kills the little mongrels when they walk on it.

I put surface spray on the legs, seems to be working

Have you had any need to use the dehumdifier whilst in tropical areas, you know when you run aircon on cooling in moist air, the excessive moisture forms dew in van.

The dehumidifier works great, I have been using it when the van has been stored for the wet season. I am paranoid about mould starting in the canvas or cushions
