Where got three in a row starting cup weekend now seeing we did not go out in winter in the 17..

No wonder you Victorians need a Melbourne cup weekend with the weather you've had down there.
Others don't get that weekend cos they usually don't need it...weather is better.
Why do you get a holiday when only 100,000 or so want to go to the cup?
I guess you'll all watch it on TV? Like the rest of us.

No idea yet. Mrs Smergs and the older two have to work/go to school on the Monday so it kind of rules out any substantial trip of any distance. Maybe I might just take #3 and disappear somewhere anyhow! 
We were booked in at Echuca but have now had to cancel.
We just found out that the kids rep basketball comp is compulsory to attend!
I'm going to loose my money if they can't re-book the site!!

Heading off to Inverloch (no van though).We've decided to leave today seeing as lm rostered on long weekend. Managed to get bball team commitments covered for domestic and rep.
Oh, the other major thing happening next weekend is American College Bball scout tryouts for my eldest boy. Proud parents the Paces are.

Good management! We thought we had it all covered with work and sport commitments - Until the basketball club sprung a tournament on us on cup weekend during tryouts!
