SA Crossing Nullarbor At Xmas?

So, planning ahead and might be able to scam 3 week off over Xmas break. Was wondering whether to do the Perth to Adelaide and back trip over that holiday.

What’s the weather like? (I am in Perth so used to 40deg summers). Planning a decently slow trip to see all the sights and free or nature camp as much as possible.

Have done it many times. There are plenty of free camps across the actual nullarbor, but can be hot and dry. We use Wikicamps now to see what others have said about where we want to camp.

We did it in summer with 2 very young kids. Nights were nice and warm days. Plenty to see, maybe just the eyre peninsula will.keep you busy without going all the way to Adelaide.
