Cracking Windows and delaminating

Well if we aren't just the unluckiest Jayco owners at the moment!!!

Just got our van back from Jayco getting the bubbling floor replaced, after having the external walls buckling fixed which then resulted in our van being flooded out as they didn't hook the plumbing back up and filling the tanks flooded the interior of the van, we now have all our windows cracking!!!!

When the van went in for the floor fix we mentioned that one of the big windows seemed to have leaked slightly. This was very nicely fixed at the same time. Apparently the silicone has not hardened properly and was still very soft and pliable. They kindly re siliconed all the windows and we thought all was good.
We were preparing on Friday to take the van away for the weekend and noticed the bathroom window was cracked quite badly. We inspected all the other windows and bugger me they were all cracked and what looks to be delaminating along the bottom of the window.

Phone call made on Friday to local Dealer but no one there to take the call so promised to call back on Monday. Call today has resulted in pics taken and forwarded to local Dealer with a promise to get in touch with the manufacturer and get back to us with an answer.

Hubby says we should have stopped at Jayco van number 3 as that one gave us no problems what so ever and not brought this one. BUT we love this van :( just wish we didn't have so many problems.

Noticed the silver railing in the shower has started to rust and also the mirror inside the shower has some water damage along the bottom of the mirror too, so this has been noted for replacement as well.

Thanks @chartrock we have had a rough time but the Dealer is being really good about it all luckily....well hopefully they will this time too.
The sun always shines no matter what the problem is as we still have a van and are able to get away on weekends. It just seems to be that it has spent more time at the Dealers than we have actually been away in it. 5 weekends in a year is just not enough for us and is a bit depressing. Makes us rethink if we would buy another Jayco though. Maybe another year down the track we might feel different.

@Joanne i'd be inclined to explore the Australian Consumer law and ask Jayco to replace it.

The odd issue is enevitable and can be fixed under normal warranty, but you seem to have a more extreme case.

If the van is new, what's it going to be like once its a few years old ?

The windows cracking is a common issue with the camec type of window. Ours got done outside warranty. There is a bad batch of windows that came replace.

Will be keeping an eye on our windows as we have the same type on our van! Keeping an eye on this thread to see how things pan out.

We have had all 5 windows that had cracked replaced by Jayco dealer in Adelaide. Dometic wanted us to take it to one of their authorized dealers (Jayco are not authorized dealer for Dometic) but I refused as the van was less than 12 months old. Dometic then agreed for the windows to be replaced by the Jayco dealer.
We have been told by Jayco that this is the first problem they have seen with of this type Dometic windows. Hopefully now the windows have been replaced we will have no more problems with the van.
