Cookware - what do you use?

After our recent short trip away in our new Journey I realised we were taking too much stuff to cook with. I do all the cooking and it dawned on me that I was trying to replicate my home kitchen! So what to do? After doing a bit of searching I found the following......

Takes up very little space when travelling. Tested it out at home - was able to make an excellent risotto for two - could have easily cooked a larger quantity. Non stick, easy clean.
This will do for the two of us.

What else do we take? We have a Weber Q100 + simple two burner stove from Big W (uses those disposable canisters) + I have ordered a Chasseur cast iron panini press.....(my one indulgence!)

The Beaver cookware is available at most Jayco dealers I think (I got mine from Jayco Sydney when I took the van down for warranty assessment).

Obviously if there are more than two people you will probably need more/bigger items.

We will be thoroughly testing the above on the trip to the Corner.

During my recent trip to Qld from Vic I used a dreampot ( this can be used on the cook top or pre cook your meal and finish off while travelling) the new ones have a steamer insert that makes it more versatile. Also my original gas frypan and a small pan.The dreampot fit perfect in the sink while travelling.

We have 2 saucepans of different sizes and a steamer that doubles as a 3rd + a frypan and Baby Q
At Jayco yesterday saw a set of space saver pots at have removable handle they stack inside each other.
Seriously condering these.

Hey Bushman, were the pots you saw round or square - if round they may well be what we bought from Jayco Sydney - see link above - Beaver cookware. $135. Very pleased with them, though only used in the home kitchen so far!
We got the blue not green....

We bought a Shuttle Chef but haven't used it seriously yet. As a quick check I had looked at the Gumtree web site and there was one that was advertised at about half price and only used a couple of times. It had the storage bag and a couple of other parts and was only 10 minutes drive away. What's more it was only placed online the day before. We grabbed it.

I should clarify that the Beaver cook set that we have all stacks together, so that the space occupied when travelling is 27cm square x 23cm high.

Ive often wondered about stacking sets. What stops the surfaces getting sctratched on transit when stacked?

The Beaver set has bags to put each item in before stacking. Having said that you could probably get away without using them as they fit quite snugly together.......I will know by the end of the trip to the Corner!

In that case, no thanks. Doctor's or Red Cross Blood Bank will tell you that you need more Iron in your diet, but I've never heard them tell anyone that they need more Aluminium/Aluminum in their diet.
I understand your concerns re aluminium - however the coating of the pans keeps the food away from the aluminium, so no direct contact with aluminium. Having said that my parents lived well into their 80s cooking with aluminium cookware almost all their lives.......
