Anyone use Club 4x4 Insurance?

Got my Insurance renewal from NRMA, Not happy Jan! >:(

Premium up almost $100 value down by $5000 :eek-53: >:( Every year I go in and talk about the cover/policy but last year I didn't. So that isn't going to happen this year another than to till them to STICK IT!

Well I've only got two words for you NRMA, but they aren't printable here

So I put in a call to Club 4x4 for a quote and there's some big saving to be made with much better cover, so even taking their basic options (basic excess) there's big bucks to be saved, increase excess save more on premium, even if I add a few of there other options its still cheaper.

I have insurance for van and tow vehicle through Ken Tame and Associates who use Allianz underwriters.
To get this insurance you must be a member of Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia. [CMCA]
The insurance is very competitive.

A mate had his big dollar wrangler with club 4X4, recently made a claim and was denied the repaire as the said he had made too many claims, he hadn't the catch is they offer free windscreen cover, and count everyone as a claim. 3 screens in around 4 or 5 years and they have denied his claim and canceled his policy, I was considering going with them until this, do your homework and be very careful.

I spoke to the NRMA dude'ettes at a shop front in Canberra on the trip south back to the best state in the country, beautiful Vic. (propping up the rest of you bludgers, thats thats a different post) and NRMA said they'd insure my Vic van. At home I jumped onto the NRMA website and was promptly thrown over to RACV so they must have a sweetheart deal between them. RACV offered me "agreed value" that I actually agreed to, (bit weird I know) and even weirder still the agree value stays agreed, and doesn't plummet from year to year. I always avoided RACV but I starting to find them uncomfortably attractive

I had the Expanda with NRMA and found the same thing, the value never dropped over the four years we had it
I put the current van with CIL got it's renewal back in January and value dropped it's only 2years old, thinking of putting it with NRMA but they aren't getting the tug back

Im with CIL, and not happy with them either. Ill be jumping ship. I find alternating each year between Budget Direct and Coles is the best for my car

I've heard good things about club 4x4 covering many expensive mods to vehicles that's other insurers wouldn't touch and they also have a decent recovery policy.

However due to my age, under 30 and exisiting damage to my ute the quote was about $1250 a year.

I've got a $1000 voucher to club 4x4 that can be transferred to another if anyone would like to offer a price to buy it.
