CIL Insurance Claim question

Hi,

Insurance is due and thought i should read the PDS (never too late).

Interestingly I noticed in the CIL insurance PDS that the policy does not cover damage caused by failure of the roof or wall seals.

I'm wondering if anyone has made a claim for a water leak with CIL given this exclusion in their PDS.

I've attached a copy of the relevant section for reference.

My parents put a claim in for a water leak and the only reason it got approved was that it only leaked while be towed and not when park , CIL told my parents that you are meant to get the seals on any caravan /poptop /camper trailer checked yearly and redone if needed.

Also they require poof of this eg receipt for repairer

Wear and tear is in all the PDS's I have looked at, be it car or van insurance and I think the others while not mentioning actual roof or body seals would use the wear and tear as an escape to pay out clause. That would, I assume mean hatch and window seals, thats what I got from reading my RACQ pds.....
