Good price...... Wonder how they can do it as I was told that Weber set prices for them?? That's why most places sell them at the same prices!

Same. Thought about it but for when we are away I would like the higher lid if we ever wanted to do a roast chook or the like.

Ordered the Weber on Ebay at 9.30pm last night ... got a txt at 10.30am this morning that it was ready to collect at the nominated Masters. Ironically when I got the txt I was directly across the road in Bunnings grabbing some work stuff. I had to add a few extras onto the purchase, particularly the pizza thing.

Now I can finally see what all the damn fuss is about with these Weber things

Although I have a bayonet gas line from the old van, should the Jaycos with a gas bayonet come supplied with the gas line .... ???

Be nice if they did but you'd have to make sure they supplied it with the correct fitting for whatever BBQ you have!!!!

The little webers are a great bit of gear.
I was sceptical myself, but one you get the hand of things especially with the lid down cooking thing you will be a convert.

Pork roast will be going in tomorrow morning all ready for Easter lunch:hungry:

Was sceptical at first also. Bought our Q100 three years ago at Bunbury while on a trip down that way over Easter..... Couldn't get near a site BBQ to cook so bit the bullet and never looked back.

So impressed we bought a 200 for home the next weekend. When the grandson comes over for dinner all he wants now is a "Pizza :pizza: cooked outside" ;)

OH...... save me some crackle @Robbie Reddog :hungry:

In the process of buying trinkets and baubles for my new Weber Baby Q I discovered that the Weber accessory cast plate was a little expensive at the ridiculous $70

I found that a Masters Hardware 2 burner camp stove cast plate was bigger, had a fat trench and was a meeeeesly $20 ... with a light rub of the grinder to round off the corners of handle tabs, and it fits the Weber better the the $70 offering

.... plus a grill plate on the reverse side

Update on the Weber plate at Masters Hardware - the Campmaster 3 burner camp stove cast plate suits the Weber Q200 series much the same as above 2 burner plate on the Weber Q1000.

The plate on the Q200 fits quite neatly, and its only $25 as opposed to the $80 Weber offering

Supercheap sell the 2 burner plates for $25

Thanks for the tip mate. Wanted a plate for the qeber and you just found me one. Couldn't stump up the $70+ for the 'genuine' one...

I was told that if the plate covers too much of the surface you affect the cooking process of the weber and that is why the genuine plates are smaller. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

The after market Weber knockoff plates also all seem to have breathers or gaps around the outside, so thats probably right.

The cheapie plate from Masters has ample gap ..... but the important thing is they are cheaper gaps !!!!

The Aldi tepanyaki plate also works. It comes close to fitting and sells for around the $20 mark (when they put them on promo).

Good enough for bacon and eggs, snags etc.
