After a bit of help. I have put 2 Robinsons Rd, Frankston South - Station Pier, Port Melbourne into google maps and it has come up with this

https://www.google.com.au/maps/dir/...d96f!2m2!1d144.931074!2d-37.84446!2m1!2b1!3e0

Is this ok? The other options that have Tolls but as I have never seen or been through a toll (We dont have them in WA ). I dont know if they are a better or worse option, there is no real time difference between any of the 3 options.
I have read there are a few low bridges around the area, does the above option have theses?
Keeping in mind besides the 15min drive from pagebros to the caravan park this trip to the port will be my first real drive with a 3ton 23ft van, or any van mind you, so im a bit nervous thats why Im asking here.
Thanks Alot for your help
Shane

Mate, your better off going on the M1,just get a toll day pass. Follow the signs to Spirit of Tasmania to Port Melbourne. Van will fit no problems, seeing as trucks go by there non stop. Cheers Pace.

What time of the day and day are you traveling?

Anyway, when you leave page bros, go via Seaford rd, right turn onto freeway to frankston, keep going thru Frankston, past Bunnings, about 2 k's up the road and your park turn off is on the left.
What ever you do, don't try and drive through the heart of frankston. Too tight and congested.

I would do as @Pace said, get a Toll pass and go along there 3-4 lanes wide all the way no traffic lights etc until your exit at Port Melbourne. That way you stay off Springvale rd as the lanes are a bit narrower than the Toll (Eastlink/Monash fwy).

There is only one turn to take off Eastlink onto the Monash which takes you straight to the Port Melbourne exit. As you mentioned this is your 1st real drive with a van that way would be the less stressful way to go imo. For the small price of Tolls thats what I personally would do. Just allow plenty of time in case there is an accident etc or even the time of day as this can vary your travel time.

My first time in Melbourne with a van was to go from Cruza's place in the Yarra Valley to the Port Melbourne wharf at around 5:00 am. Like the guys in the know said, use the Motorway, it was easy and the navigator helped the final stages. Lucky our Queensland toll passes work in NSW and Vic.

The only other advice other than what the others have already suggested, is DO NOT take the Montague St exit to head down to Station Pier. The light rail bridge has a max clearance of 3M (10ft) and with that behemoth you've just bought it most likely won't fit under it. You will need to get off the Todd Rd exit and then turn left into Prohasky St and then left onto Williamstown Rd, right into Graham St and the right into Bay St and then right at the end of Bay st and then you'll see the pier and the ferry.

This will avoid all the low bridges in the area.

@ShaneT if you apply for a day pass with either Eastlink or Citylink they can be used on all toll roads in Melb.

From Station Pier if you reverse those directions I gave you to get back onto the freeway at Todd Rd you won't need another day pass. From Todd Rd all the way to Geelong is toll free.

The only amendment to those directions above is when you turn right from Williamstown Rd into Prohasky St, at the end when you reach Todd Rd you go straight on as this becomes the entrance to the Geelong Rd and then it's just follow your nose all the way over the Westgate Bridge to Geelong.
HTH.
