As usual I left it to the last minute. Rang CIL and they were 150 dearer than RACQ. Tried Suncorp and NRMA and got the shits with waiting. "your call is special to us"..... Well if it is important than hire more staff. Stayed with RACQ for 640 on a van value of 44K
CIL. Looking to change. Too expensive and they seem more interested in attracting new customers than keeping loyal long term ones. Maybe once we leave they may give a don't be rude - doubt it!
Have always used RACQ or NRMA over many years, multi policy always cheaper, last time checked out Youii as well and they were a few hundred cheaper BUT were very pushy and wanted my card details so they could direct debit me for renewals, not a bloody chance. After the recent truck incident with our van RACQ wins hands down.
RACQ and so is the car. They say to have both the same, just in case you had an accident involving both, which would be a nightmare to deal with 2 different insurance companies for the same incident.
