Who recommends CIL for van insurance or are they pretty much the same as the major insurers house car etc?? Getting quotes..frustrated..

I went with Youi. Have my home and vehicle insurance with them so I think that made a difference. They'll initially give you a quote with a high excess, say $700. Call them back the next day and tell them you want it halved plus a reduction in the premium. Usually works.
But I'd first try your insurer for your vehicle and home.
The other reason I went with youi is that there was no additional excess for being offroad. Gio wanted to charge an extra $300 for that.

General consences is give CIL a big miss with Expandas and campers they have issue's with contents and it having canvas ends
I put both the caravan & tug insurance with the same company (AAMI), mainly to save any issues in the event of an accident in case either company tries to blame the other or won't start until the other pays up or agrees etc, this way they are fighting with them selfs.

Thanks Cruza very interesting conversations re what's covered and what's not? Some might say insurance really is a scam! I'm still yet to decide and research who we will go with!
