Stayed here for 6 weeks, sorry meant to take more pics. Not everyone's cup of tea, but some surprise themselves and pull in for one night and end up staying awhile. Excellent stopover on the Nullabour. Lots to see and do.
Turn left at Penong on the Point Sinclair road and it's about 18 km, there are no signs for Cactus as the local surfers kept ripping them down, has flushing toilets and one solar shower and open fires with wood supplied. Yes I did, as you would expect at this time of the year;) Times have changed but they're still tight. Though a bit wrinkled.

After seeing those pics I'm not surprised they stay more than just overnight :encouragement:

Did you enjoy the snakes, rats, flies???

There weren't many flies, I heard the March flies were bad down the beach in Feb/March.

Did not see a snake the whole time, I expect they were around but they're the shy type out there.

Didn't see any rat's either, there were a few mice, but we were camped not far from a group of young guys so we never had any in our place as they gravitated towards there camp;). The beauty of a caravan is if it's sealed, no unwanted visitors.

All those pests are are generally around summer.

We had 2 tanks so that was about 160 ltr and that just scraped in to last us for 6 weeks. We bought a few 15 ltr drinking water containers and used bore water for washing up, just had a 10ltr can and filled it with bore water every 2nd day. Had bore water showers(cold) and drove into Penong (18km) once or twice a week for a hot shower($3) at the road house.

Bloke called Ronnie owns it, he's had it for 25 years. He come in around sunset to collect the fees, you just set up wherever you like.
