We have always used a tent. Upgraded to a soft floor camper and now after selling that wanted a swan or flamingo. Having the dream of travelling oz with the kids when my better half gets her long service leave and talking to just about everyone we have decided to by an expanda . After looking for months we could not justify buying second hand. Is this common and why do they hold there value so well?

When we were looking for our Expanda we looked at a couple of second hand ones and they were asking almost new prices for reasonably old vans.
Because of the very efficient use of space, everyone seems to want them thus they hold their value.
also if you order new you have to wait months, people cannot wait as they look a month out from easter 
Hi @youngy73 a lot depends on when you are buying, we looked for what we wanted for months, eventually travelled to Townsville and offered a lot less than the asking price as it was on the market for a while. We sold it a couple of weeks ago for the same amount we paid for it 2 years ago. Once you decide on the model be patient and keep watching, I am sure you will get what you are looking for at the right price.
