Hi All,

Just thought I would share Bunnings in SA (not sure about other states) have 8.5kg swap for $17.90. Don't know for how long though.

thanks for that van will look better with a clean bottle with no rust.
just taken the cupboard doors into to Laminex in Curry st the original
doors have worn badly through normal wear and tare,$150 and they will be better than new ,a good investment.
Bt50 also got a Christmas present a Snorkel mainly to stop it breathing dust.

yeh but are they caravan rated gas bottles or just the usual swap and go things for barbies ??

It no longer matters with gas bottles. See this link from Elgas:

Some bottles don't fit in the holders too well. Thanks for the tip, handy to know for people who swap n go. I don't personally swap n go my Expanda bottles as they are class 2's however other bottles I do and I keep one as a spare.

Always thought that Caravan gas bottle stuff was BS, have no problem with swap an go type system better than relying on some pimply kid short filling my bottle and worrying about expiration date. Always swap at Bunnings or similar, $24 or less better than $34 to $38 at other places.

I wonder how storing my bottles in the boot goes with the regs ?????

Just read a brief on those regs, while my boot stowage is legal I may have to clean it up a bit.............ooppss.

If your swapping bottles then Class 2 wouldn't matter as it's only the paint job and it's not like your keeping the bottle for 10 yrs.
