I was told today that if you don't have this fitted in NSW that you will not pass for rego....just giving you the heads up for next time if you don't have it fitted!

That's correct @Burnsy , has been the case for several years here that trailers over 2 tonnes must have a breakaway and a visual or audible monitor that tells you that the battery on the breakaway has sufficient charge to operate.

yep i had to have one fitted for the new van, as Expanda didn't have break- away system, when i went to register the van they did check i had one, also made sure the break-away was working probably.

I have a hard wire monitor up for grabs if anyone is buying. I had it for the 17 but the new starcraft has a wireless system
