Hi. Just picked up my 17.56-2 OB on Friday and installed a Bike Rack plate to the rear bumper from
http://www.trailmax.com.au/

Worked like a treat. They also had the adaptation for the round bar. Just check your weight allowed on the rear bumper. Can also drop bike rack when wanting to open the rear bed.

Hello Petenlou,

I will be watching this post as I am also intrested in a bike rack for the rear of my 17-56.

I have started looking and like the idea of the Thule 9027 or 9031 which are a swinging rack that can carry four bikes. They rely on a towbar to mount into the reciever. Not sure if you have the white round rear bar or square gal one which I'll need to have modified or add a square pipe to take the carrier.

Hi, You can purchase a round tube holder for the expands on-road bumper bar also from Trailmax.
Just need a bike rack that drops down. (Autobarn had some for about $120)

I have been trying to call Trailmax for the last 2 days (left a message) and have sent an email via their website with no reply yet. Has anyone else had issues contacting them.

thanks for that. I am reluctant to order without first talking to someone to know a) they are still trading and b) they are in stock or if not how long to supply.

I wouldn't touch the round bar one from trailmax. Mine was rusting within 3 months & the welding work looked like a beginner did it. When I finally got a response from them about this, (5 e-mails later with photos) they didn't want to know me. Id stay away from these guys altogether.
