Hi there,
So I've heard stories of ingenious ways people have used the base of the fold down bed ends as storage when they are in the upright positions, utilising the space between the bed base and covers. I have a 2017 17.56.2 and have placed items in there at rest including fold up tables and bench seats as well as brooms and mops. Has anyone out there done this and if so, what are your means for fixing the items securely to ensure there is not any damage to the items or van during travel? I have included a photo of a table simply held up by a couple of metal lips that I made to see if I had the space to close the cover. As a bonus, I'm looking at being able to keep the items secured to the bottom of the beds when they're folded down if I don't need to use the tables etc.
And if anyone is interested, I have also just fitted a diesel heater and it's fantastic.
