Bed end hockey stick broke

We went to Torquay over the weekend and when we were setting up my wife picked up the front bed hockey stick and it fell appart. The push button spring had broke in two. It was a easy fix i just found the right hole and put the flat with the button into it from the outside and ran some duct tape over it worked a treat. I will get it fixed next time im in at jayco.I have never heard of it happening before,has it happened to anyone else?

Yep, my van was only 6 months old when it happened. Just did exactly what you did and left it that way.

Gotta love how consistency in a Jayco van is measured by the number of people on this forum with the same fault.

First time we used our van one of them broke, rang dealer and had one in 2 days in the post.

Yep another here too! Thinking of putting a small nut and bolt setup in to hold it at length

we had our old one for 8 years with no probs.

They would still hurt around the back of the ears though!

Had an Eagle for 3 years and the 17.56 since Nov '11. No issues here.
