Same here, wish our lid was black thoughI use the weber light that bolts onto the handle, not overly bright but does the job for us.

Got the same one on ours and as @Holden_man says..... "It does the job". And has a tilt switch to turn it off/on when opening/closing the lid (I'd go through batteries if relying on myself to turn it off )I use the weber light that bolts onto the handle, not overly bright but does the job for us.
I have been using the weber 3 to 4 times a week for months and never knew the light turned off auto when the lid down Hehe just went and checked .I have been doing it manually.This is why I love this siteGot the same one on ours and as @Holden_man says.....
