Confirm globe is okay in other fitting and new globe fails as well....

Need to do a step by step check, this is how I would run ......................... with meter.
1. Check earh at light fitting has continuity.......... OK
2.. Confirm power is on light side of fuse unless circuit runs other lights and they work.
3.. Check for power on battery side of light switch...OK then 4 .... No, break in cable at possible junction point to other lights.
4. Check power on light side of switch...... OK then 5 ...... No, then check contacts.
5. Check terminals on socket, No, then could be bad/dry join.....

If its led some globes will only work 1 way even though they will fit in 2 ways.... (this has led (pun) me on a chase for nothing at odd times.)

(Have just realized my multi-meter is missing, not at all happy, in fact rather peed, old timers is possible and left on bumper/draw bar is looking likely ... $10 supercheap credit eases pain..)
