What a strange place Australia is, our climate is changeable to say the least. Since New Years we have been fighting bushfires in SA, with them being local to home, just across the other side of the valley and in the flinders. In fact up until 1:30 this afternoon I was going back to the flinders for night shift tonight.

Now we are planning for the creek in town to break its banks. Wednesday we had a 43c day, over the last 2 days we have had in excess of 100mm of rain.

So last month we were protecting our property from fire, today our yard has flooded.

I think Mother Nature has a nasty streak!

Over here in Vic we have been covered in smoke for 4 days now, its actually a good reminder to the city dwellers what impact fires have around the country.
Hopefully you get the rain to quench the fires. The Bangalor fire today, the one we were going to, had 1.8mm up to 1:30, then 64.4mm by 4pm, so that one is as good as out now.

Cracka of course it will rain, you have building works taking place! You should know by now that building or outside gatherings always brings out the rain?

Got to agree with @achjimmy , our next door neighbours are preparing for new paving and landscaping and had their driveway and backyard completely dug out on Wednesday. It was super hot, bone dry and the digger had dust flying everywhere. Then the heavens opened up :rain: What a mess. :bathbaby: mud bath anyone!!!
