Our waterproof Bed ends, were simple and cheap to make, We bought enough Sail Track and screwed it onto the underneath of Hard lid. Bought plastic from Spotlight and enough Velcro and I got to work sewing it onto the Privacy screen. Works a treat when cold and windy, keeps the van warmer.
And keeps the moisture out , although we haven't really had torrential wind & rain yet, but its worked with the rain that we've had so far.
Gotta be better than a tent.!!
