Hi

Just wanted to introduce myself and say what a great forum this is. We have just ordered a new 17.56-2 OB and found this forum to be a great source of info when making the new purchase (yes another stalker). We are upgrading from a 2012 Swan OB as we have run out of room - 3 kids under 3 (unexpectant twins arrived last year). New van arrives later in the year as we don't get much use over the cooler months in southern NSW where we're from. Have optioned it up with:
150L fridge
100AH battery
150W solar panel
Hyland hitch
Windup tv aerial
Extra 240V GPO & 12V plug in rear dinette area.

I'll be sure to post some pics once it arrives. So thanks again for the great info that is shared on this forum as it always so useful to hear from people that actually own what it is that you are buying.

Cheers

:welcome: Xpress and family. Good to have you convert from stalker to member. :) You have come the same way as a lot of members, from camper to Expanda and you will be very impressed with the difference.

Enjoy the forum and post up some pics when it arrives.

Welcome Xpress,
There must be something in the water. Everyone seems to be popping out twins on this forum lately.

Welcome guys, wow 3 kids under 3, that'll keep you on your toes :) Don't let the cold weather stop you, you can always put an extra layer of clothes on!

Cheers.

Welcome Xpress,

We have 2 things in common, we too have gone from Swan to 17.56-2, we love it. The other being, we too had 3 kids under 3, though now the boys are 12,10 and 9 (Monsterella is all most 6).

Little more harder for you though as the fourth baby arrives later in the year (that's the one you'll have to nurse, LOL).

Cheers Pace.

Thanks very much for the warm welcome everyone. We are certainly looking forward to the mod cons and easy setup that comes with the new toy, especially the roll out awning - if we never see another bag awning again in our lives I reckon it still won't be enough time :)

Now for the waiting game until it arrives.

Welcome mate. I agree with the bag awning bit. Although it did make convincing the wife that we needed the upgrade a bit easier.

Thanks Kenshi. The first thing the dealer did when we looked at the van was roll the awning out in no time flat - no more convincing for the minister of finances a.k.a "the wife" was needed from that point.

Welcome aboard. Another 17.56 with twins! We should have our own category!
Like you my twins came somewhat unexpected. We actually had three girls under 18 months! I remember lining all three up for nappy changes! Now 8, 6 and 6.
For the past few years we have been fighting with a soft floor camper trailer, seemingly hundreds of poles a guy ropes, prodding pooled water off the roof, packing away wet canvas........I cant wait for the 17.56 to arrive!

Hi Xpress,
Just to make you feel more normal and sane, I have to share with you that I am one of 5 kids, 2 sets of twins, not kidding.
5 kids under 3 1/2 years for my parents. First was Lisa, then 20 months later myself and twin Julie, and then another 20 months later twins Jason and Jenny.
Just be prepared that if you go for number 4 then may just be a bonus number 5 thrown in. Package deal!

Thank god my parenting days are over.
You guys could jinx a fella into thinking this forum provide a better chance of having twins.

Wow Lara, your mum must be a saint. I'm one of six (no twins) but we we're all spread out so to have that manny under 3.5 yrs it must have been hectic! As for going for the 4th, not a chance, but then again would have an excuse for a base station :D

Soaring I take my hat off to you. We had 3 under 3 for only a month so yes get the whole lining them up for the nappy change.

Also love the idea of a new category for 17.56's with twins.
