Hello All,

A question we are trying to work a way to get some extra room to put our soon to buy caravan in the backyard.
Currently there is a fence and a small gate we will remove, although the problem we have is we can only move the fence 50 cms forward as the Gas Meter is there against the house. Which leaves us room for a 16" only and tight on that.
At the back we have a Spa with fence as well which hangs over 70 cms inline with the house.
The space is around 3m's wide as well.

We also have a lovely slope on the way up which I worry about running the van into the ground if reversing

So thinking of a solution and remembered a friend brings his boat in with a winch to Garage. So thinking if I go in A-Frame first the A-Frame will miss the Spa fence and hence give us back that room.
I also noticed while researching winches and found power movers like the purpleline? Has anyone used these on their vans, does it handle a incline?

Pictures from google the bushes all gone now. Was looking to put down crushed rock.
Lucky our gutters are ramped.

Thanks in advance everyone.. I really want to push for a 17.52.2 space is our worry so currenlt 14.44.4 or 16.49.3

Gas meters can be moved quite easily (I am a Gasman) or put the fence in front of it, no worries with doing that. I think you will need to level the area to make the job of reversing easier.

We used to winch our 16ft van uphill into our shed which was a real squeeze and we found we didn't use the van as much as we could have because we dredded getting the van in and out. In the end we built a carport off the front of the shed, now we just back it straight in no probs. the best advice I can give is make it as easy as you can so you use the van at every opportunity.
Cheers Matt

Here is a pic of where we used to winch through the open door. Now we go behind the Triton. There is a bit of slope there and when we were winching the wife was having kittens, she could picture it going over the retaining wall.

Hey Pace,
and you admit you work for Metro :) I currently work for a Bank used to work for a Oil company. Not companies people really like :)
yeah was all good been pretty good with the trains of late.
I mostly travel in after 9 and home after 6 so not as much of a rush.

Did not have time to call purpleline today.
I really like a 16.49-2 for sale at the moment, if I add motor movers and pay for gates and lay gravel a 17" still stretching for $'s .. Although wondering if I should get OB for clearance up the hill..

Watching Klugerclan video now.. at least where I am putting it is straight no turns.. although now I am thinking maybe pavers instead of crushed rock.. the $'s continue :(
