we are looking at anti flap kits any one have any experience with them and do they work

Get the aussie traveller type, they go the full length of the awning from poptop to awning roll. We use them all the time not matter what and awning doesnt make any noise in wind and you get a good nights sleep too knowing al lis secure. Cheers Pace.

Used the de-flapper straps on the last caravan. They were just OK but definitely better than nothing.

we have the de-flappers but if you go this way be careful they are easy to cut a piece out of your awning when you put them on. I think the aussie traveller ones look better.

The other trick is to put the roller switch into the "roll up" position once you have finished set-up, this stops the wind from unwinding the awning further.
