Hi all
I am very excited to say we have just today ordered a new Expanda Outback! To upgrade from our expanda outback pop top. Can't wait to fill all those extra cupboards! And try out the full shower! And watch the kids in their own bunk beds, rather than sharing (although that has been cute!)
Delivery in September.
Have to order walls for annex. Any thoughts on vinyl walls from Kakadu? They looked great but I've always been very happy with the canvas walls.
We now need to trade in my Ford Territory. Looking at a Landrover Discovery TDV6. But should we just go all the way and get the more powerful SDV6?

Welcome Kate, congrats on your purchase, what size/model are you getting? Can't comment on vinyl, only ever had canvas and always been happy with it. Good luck with deciding on your new tug too! Enjoy :)

Welcome to the forum, @Kate File. We bought a canvas annexe from Australia Wide Annexes but have not fully set it up in two years. We just use a shade cloth as a side cover and a tarp at which ever end the wind is coming from. But we don't have kids to need an annexe as you do.

Excellent Kate. We might see you at the corner? Look for a skinny old fella with a little boy and a little girl in a Swift. That's me.

welcome @Kate File
not sure on the Disco's (dont know enough about them) - but my preference would be for the Diesel - better pulling power for less $ at the bowser
so saying - alot of people dont mind the fuel -

cheers

Welcome @Kate File and congrats on the new order.
Have had both vinyl and canvas annex walls and found that the canvas breathes better and stays cooler in summer. Sorry but can't help with the disco choice.

The wait till September will be over in no time!

Hi Kate!

I had the vinyl kakadu Annexe on my last van and found it very easy to clean and wipe over and was neat!

The bad points are its not able to be dragged like canvas as the pattern on most vinyl seems to be printed on and will scratch. Also seems to be more prone to ripping and doesnt let the air through like canvas does.

I chose to go back to canvas from Holiday Annexes with our new van!

Hope this helps

:)Welcome Kate, great choice of van, always had canvas can't really go wrong, the other option I would consider would be vinyl around the bottom 300mm to make it easy to clean the mud splash off in wet times etc.
September seems ages , but worth the wait, congrats.
