Another New Expanda

Hi all,

What a great site. Found this forum after we ordered our NEW 14.44-5 OB but it would'nt have made any difference, we went to the Brisbane show just to have a look around but when we saw the new lay out of the 14-5 we loved it. We have an 06 Egale OB now, which we also love, and it's set up for free camping so we ordered the 14 the same.

RV control Pannel
Wind up Antenna
Solar Pannels
Privacy screens
150lt fridge
Thinking about getting the Foldout table and extra gas bayonet as well cause it still not confirmed and pick up in OCT
Anyhow that gives us a few months to sell the Eagle before pickup and read more amazing threads and PIC's on this forum.
One more thing, tow with a Pajero 03 Diesel from reading some threads I'am worried van may sit uneven. Any info?

Hey Bozzy, welcome to the forum.

Our first expanda was a 14 footer..... I remember how nice it was to tow!

My thoughts are yes to the bayonet and yes to the outside table. We use both frequently.

Don't worry too much about the van being unlevel when you're towing, mostly it is because the van sits bum down which can easily be corrected by a longer tow hitch. We bought a spacer for our Old Prado but didn't need it for the new Ranger to sit level.

Love the layout of yours, its great. I would recommend both the table and gas bayonet, i use both every trip.

Don't worry about the van sitting level too much until you get it. There are so many factors to consider (drop hitch, spacer under hitch on van, WDH.....) and you won't know which way to go until you hitch it up the 1st time. The dealers are usually pretty helpful with stuff like that too.
