Hi @JMS Project . We only bought a side and one end shade wall from coast to coast. Got them from the caravan and camping show here in Perth. Easy to put up n down, and don't take up much space and aren't heavy. Decided against an annex, as we had one with the last van, and used is only a handful of times.
So far, we have found the shade awnings to be great . Keeps out the wind and stops most of the rain. (Only a bit of spray came in the corner).

Hi @JMS Project we got our annexe from Australiawide Annexes and as @davemc said they're are great to deal with... Come to your place to measure and return when made to fit it :encouragement:

We also got our shade walls from the local caravan and camping show but went for the Sunbuster brand as they had a good special on them at the time.

Thanks heaps for the advice.

Have you got storm covers for your bed ends ?
No. Thought about it, and then went the shade ones. We "seasoned" them when we got the van, and haven't had any water come in thru the beds yet, and we did get quite a bit of rain on our maiden voyage across oz.

Also strongly recommend Sunbuster.

Coast to Coast nowhere in same league.

Have both and Sunbuster side and end walls far superior for both wind and rain.

yes we have both.
Annex for 2 week or so stays. Shade wall for quick stops or I want to see out. You can use one end, side wall or both.
Shades are lighter and quicker to put up, although if you think about with the annex its basically the zipping it together and sliding it up the sail track. Annex you peg down, shade I rope and peg down.. :( need to time both with a stop watch :)

Shade you can also hang from end rafter and not use Anti Flap kit if you want.. which saves time

ok, we are looking at getting an anti flap kit and a sunshade for the long wall only to start with, wise or not? should we just get the sunshade and get the anti flap kit later with the annex?? not sure which way to go, we want an annex but not in the budget right now.

Hi guys, resurrecting an old thread (rather than start a new!).

I've just been given the nod to go ahead and buy an annexe for our 17.56-2 touring model. aside from Australia wide what others are there that people would recommend? I don't like the kakadu - don't like the door on the side!

We need someone around Sydney, as I'd prefer this to be fit by someone who knows what they're doing!!

Thanks in advance,

Daz
