So with an upcoming long trip nearly here, I wanted to find out what others have done with the airing up and down of the airbags on their suspension.

With any long trip you would be hooking up and disconnecting the van from the tow vehicle a large amount of times, each time my understanding is that you would put some air in the bags and let it out when you leave the van at the park or camp.

I can think of a couple of options like using a compressor each time or even have a bicycle foot pump in the boot to pump the bags up, trying to work out the quickest and easiest way to manage this task.

Any thoughts?

If you have a little money to spare and you want the "perfect" solution call into ARB and ask about their system for airbags. They have an in car digital display and they will fit their compressor so that you can inflate and deflate all from the comfort of the drivers seat:thumb:

I priced it a few months ago and I think it was around 1600 but that was for everything (airbags, in car display and switches, air compressor and fitting) so if you already have a compressor or airbags it would be a little cheaper.

IMO it is the only way to go, we have had manual airbags for years but they go flat when you don't use them and when you need them they have developed holes but this way you have a constant readout and can adjust them at the push of a button.

Same as @Dobbie and @Pace ... Anderson plug and a small compressor in the rear drawer (Saves dragging the big compressor out).

If only stopping for a couple of days I leave them pumped up..... Bit hard on the butt over speed bumps etc though o_O

I leave mine pumped up but I don't think your sposed to without weight on if your going on rough roads you mite want to let air out but ive been told don't fill the bags at servos to much air to quick so any compressor connected to you car would be good just another thing you have to play with
