17' Series Aerial outlet on wrong side

Hi, I purchased a 2012 17.56 jayco outback recently. Can anyone explain why there is an aerial outlet on the opposite side to the awning? It is near the power inlet, it makes no sense, am I missing something???thanks in advance.

It's probably an inlet so you can plug an external aerial in.

Some van parks have lousy free to air reception so they supply a cable that hooks into their power box from where ever they get their reception.. The connector you describe is where you plug the their cable in.

I actually thought this was standard. I would think it cannot be door side as the awning and or annexe would be in the way.

your next task is to find where the other end is inside your van

Hmm, come to think of it, I don't think I have ever looked for it on our Penguin.
Another thing to do when I wind the top up.

Not real good for Sat dish though.

Why's that? Haven't used Sat yet on our Expanda, but have on other caravans with no issue.

yep input. you might also have a plastic base & clip system next to it for a pole type tv aerial.

Why 4 you say that fella? Ive always used the external point for the Sat dish without any probs
