Adelaide cup long weekend

For those of us in S.A we have a long weekend coming up in March , whose going to break out their Expandas and where are you off too ?????

Were off to Lake Bonney to do a bit of free camping and chillaxing ...

Going up to Berri, as a friend has family right on the river, a bunch of us are still friends from our parents group 12 years ago and go away quite often.

Hi David,

It's between Port Hughes and Balgowin, there a few different camps along that stretch one is The Gap and the above is Tikarra Rocks.

I thought that is where you were!!! Been to The Gap!! And driven all around there. Are you doing any 4wding at Cape Elizabeth??

Hope so David but hard to get out of the boat when the fish are biting, driven to Port Hughes from there along the beach before which was a great run.

How hard is it to get down onto the beach? We have a Starcraft 19'6 and I think it would be too big to get through some of the skinny tracks?

Best way is to enter from Balgowin end as the track has over grown bushes from The Gap end we did it with the Expanda but a bit tight, we camp just on the cliff which is only a metre or two down to the beach with car access.

The Balgowan end is better than The Gap end..... don't really want to scratch up the new Starcraft!!! It is a great place.
