We want to catch up with our son who is training at Puckapunyal. Not taking the Expanda cause it's sold. The choices so far is to stay in Seymour at the Goulburn river tourist park or go out to Nagmabie by the water? No offence to the people of Seymour and I might be wrong but the couple of times I have been to Seymour I have been "underwhelmed" by it. Open to any suggestions where we could spend the weekend in a cabin around there!

When I saw the thread title the first thing I thought of was Nagambie, someone over that way might be able to help with somewhere a bit closer though.

How often are you going to be heading to Puck? Whilst it's not miles away, Nagambie is still a bit of time down the Hwy (~35min) so if it's daily trips I reckon Seymour would be significantly more convenient. But if it's a once a week kinda thing, you'd be fine.

As for Seymour itself, it's a typical country town... a bit rough around the edges. But I'd take it over Nagambie for convenience to Puck, and proximity to the Hume and PT. Also, it's a little bigger so amenities are a little better.

Thanks all. Give us some ideas. At this stage we will only go to puckapunyal the once to drop of his wheels then we will spend the weekend wherever and head home. Sucks not having the van.
