hi everyone, I'm Luke.

I'm about to buy an Expanda, I have a couple to choose from but can't decide.
We're a family of 7 (5 kids hahahaha), me and the wife (Shannon) can't wait to pick up our van and get exploring.

Talk to you all soon.

Hey Luke which models are you looking at? Welcome to the forum a lot of friendly people here
I thought 4 kids was too much he he
what ages?
What car do you have to tow could decide by weight alone
Where are you looking to store the van. This was our driver as we only had so much space.

A 21 expand triple bunk slide out be nice :)

Congratulations on your upcoming purchase.
I too are reasonably new to the Expanda family and absolutely loving my 16-49-4 and this Forum.
No doubt you will too.

Lol. Hi Luke. So we're a family of 7 too. Our Panda is a 17.56-2 OB so it has the two bunks that converts to a dinette although it rarely gets to. The 3 smaller kids share the end bed with the two bigger kids using the bunks.
Can get a little squashy sometimes like if it's raining or whatever but it's all good, it's not very often everyone is in there.

Good luck with thea decision mate, You'll have a blast once you get out there.

Thanks everyone
We have a low budget of $25k and limited by our tow car being a Kia grand carnival which has a tow capacity of 2000kg and 200kg tow ball wieght.

So hopefully in the next day or 2 we will pick up the van once we decided on which one we want. We think it's going to be a 2007 16.49-3.

I think it will be big enough until it comes to sleeping as well have to convert the table to a bed. Kids are 9m, 2,5,10,15.

Would your 15/10 year old be ok in the Annex in Bunks?
If not have you looked at the 16.49-2 Bunk.. No shower/Toilet. Although two in bunks and three on the end bed. Or use the dinette.
You will find the bunk ones around 30k for a hard top end.
Seen them cheaper without.

Yes we chose extra beds instead of the toilet/shower.... its 50/50 really.. Kids been sleeping through the night of late so that has helped.

Maybe look to hire for a weekend see how you go towing and sleeping. We did that with a 16.49-4 before we brought
