I found the positioning of the spare tyre on the draw bar a bit awkward as I had to remove the gas bottles to get it out. I have now mounted that under the front of the van and replaced it with a wire basket which now has a canvas bag to carry all my hoses and what ever else will fit in there. Leaves me a lot more room in my tunnel boot.

Hi @Kevin Jones, Nice work. I looked at doing the same thing but quickly discovered that I did not have enough ground clearance so had a new rear bar made up with the mount for the spare wheel on that. By the photos it appears as though your van has more clearance than mine. Is your van underslung? The tread on the Tyers seem to be chunkie for a tourer model.

Mine is an outback model so they have a bit more clearance. The ne position gives more clearance than it had before! Just went away for the weekend and it is all still there, so must be OK..lol
