Well after 18 months with our 18:58-2 outback expanda which we have loved and worked like a dream but as I am 6'4 the beds where a bit tight for me but all good it wasn't a stopper but after a look in a StarCraft 22.68-1 with 3 bunks and a really good deal it was time for an upgrade we were looking at march delivery but missed that by 24hours so that means our easter holidays will be have to be cancelled as delivery is now around may 23 so now we have to sell our 18:58-2 expanda and my Prado as now I need to get a car that can tow 3.5T I think it will be a long 4 months.
Here is what the new journeys will look like inside and out.
Cheers Lee

Well we went into jayco Geelong because yesterday they got delivery of the new journey outback 22.58-1 and justbto see where out money is going over all I love the layout of the van, the new dark paneling looks great but the gray melamine cabinetry finish looks like the cheapest thing I could find at fantastic furniture I'm so disappointed and I've tryed to get them to change it but they have said its a non negotiating that's it sorry. Its tealy got me on the fence

Thanks for the pics mate.. We where going to stop on the way home from Adventure Park yesterday... Although shut at 5pm we there 5:05 :(
Not sure I like the Journey sticker on the front the J and Y sort of blend away in that pic. "ourne"
Apart from colours do not look like they changed anything from last year apart from Drifter replacement.

Do not mind the grey cushions. Dark colours do make it more closed in..The grey cabinets that bad in person bugger

It is that bad just the finish only on the gray cabinet is pathetic when you spend 67k+ you want quality as our swan and expanda we couldn't fault them it make me think about going a different brand its just a kick in the guts and get our deposit back

Go back have another look with all the lights on.. The computer images are touched up and not the same as the real thing. Your top pics are nice gloss grey the van itself is not.

If you feel that bad about colours.. not sure of the deposit.. See the Elite auction I posted not sure what the vans will go for although there are like 10 family vans at the same time.
They have no warranty. you want to see if they have been finished off.. a couple do not look finished.

no &(&(* good mate.. lots of $ to be not happy. Do they have any Starcrafts left they can do you a deal with? They have a nice L shape lounge one there a while ago we looked at for a while..

So its the same cupboards as before covered in bad grey wallpaper not the fake wood wallpaper.
I was hoping they catch up with the other caravan makers like New Age etc where the cupboards more like a home kitchen.

If your not happy then far better to walk away but put up a fight for full deposit return, product not up to grade as implied in earlier discussion sort of thing....The last time I looked at some new ones last year I wasn't happy with some of the finish, little stickers covering the screws in the cabinet work just looked tacky, at least they have the power points not over the sink or stove like some I have seen....................

My mate's New Age it has a very nice finish inside, super bright and glossy it still has the same bits of faulty workmanship in the electrics that Jayco has....no doors have fell off his as yet after the trip from Wait Awhile, QLD roads will test it for sure.

Great you got your deposit back if your not happy with how the van looks it way too much $ to spend. Good luck with the searching.
When we got our 22.68 there was not a huge range of bunk vans around, now each show I go to there are plenty.

Hi Tucker, let us know your thoughts on the bunk vans you see, as we are just starting to look for a new bunk van also, and wife is not keen on the cabinet colours in the Jayco.
