2015 model gas bottle mounts

Hi guys just after your thoughts of the new design of how the gas bottles are
My old man has a new Starcraft seems to be the same gas bottle setup
Are you guys happy with the ratchet strap or like the older setup

No one bothered to say anything, very strange..............my nephew has one with the strap set up and others I have talked to in parks reckon the strap idea sucks and the fibreglass hood is a pain, nobody seems to like them.

We have the straps but ours are inside the slide out Section ,much easier to change bottles plus if you get a different diameter bottle it's a simple adjustment . Much better than those ridget brackets

Our 2015 17.56 has the ridged old style holders. Not a fan of the new cover over the bottles. The mount clips let go and are flimsy twice we have stopped and the cover is just sitting there ready to blow off. Will be changing it once I get home.

Wondered when Jayco might change them. When I modified our bottle setup I bought two holders and the reg bracket off Preston chassis and they were heaps lighter made than the standard Jayco brackets. Remember wondering then when Jayco would lighten up the set up.

I plan to remove the cover when we get our new 18.58.1. Look flimsy to me and would rather save the weight.
