That is a shame @BruceD. I hope the medical reasons are not too serious and that you can get back to vanning in the not too distant future. The Journey is a great van and you should have no problems moving it. Good luck mate.

Price of the Journey has been reduced to sell.
Only one person has come to see it, but they came on the 1st July and called into Jayco Canberra on the way here and were offered a good deal on the same model that was in the yard. Two offers for amounts that are too low to accept at the moment.

Operation successful, just got the statement from Bupa regards cost, THANK GOD for private health insurance.

Deposit taken, site unseen. Hand over end of next week.
Whilst my cardiologist highly recommended that I do not lift the lid on the Journey, hence the sale, he has given me the nod to continue the lifestyle but preferable a full size van. We were looking at a Starcraft 19.61-2, we prefer the door at the rear of the van, and had gotten prices but decided to also look at other brands.
The result is we are getting a Retreat Macquarie, 18'6" which hopefully will be ready mid september.
Standard features include:
  • 15'' wheels
  • 2 x 95 litre water tanks
  • 190 litre 2 door fridge
  • ibis A/C
  • Queen bed
  • mesh on A frame
  • outside picnic table
  • gas bayonet
  • hydraulic jack
  • vinyl protection to front, black perspex along side
  • 2" raiser
  • 2 all season roof hatches
  • camec washing macine
  • LED tail lights with built-in reverse light
  • Attwood hot water service (no anode)
  • piano hinges to all doors
  • pipe protection under van
  • 155 watt solar panel
  • reverse camera
  • outside shower
  • Dexter sway control (new to OZ market American system that applies breaks independently)

Additional items I have requested
  • grey water tank
  • external lockers at rear (the standard oversize shower is removed and a normal size one instead is installed and the space is used for the lockers)
