Hi All,
Just a brief note to say Goodday, as I've just signed up. I picked up my Expanda last Monday and have just returned from its break in trip over the weekend. My wife and I bought ourselves a 17.56-1 OB (2014 model), after a number of years of planning and trying to decide exactly what we wanted, it is finally here! We have done the natural progression thing, from a tent trailer to a Jayco Hawk, but I think I have finally found exactly what I am after and what will serve a family with 2 kids (4 year old and 8 month old). Looking forward to many great years of touring and exploring the great outdoors of this Awesome Country of ours..

Cheers,

Ben and Sarah, and the tin-lids Lincoln and Crystal.

Next trip is the long weekend in March! Only 2 weeks! Was without a van for 6 months, so will pretty much be going every chance I get! Plan to tour interstate sometime this year all going well! Have already found heaps of ideas on here for mods so looking forward to exploring the forum a bit more!
Cheers Ben

The 2014 models are so good! Lots of things included as standard that people where paying extra for previously. I am so happy with it, I have suggested to the missus about taking off, but she ain't sure on the idea of living on the road, with 2 young tin-lids! But exploring we will go, when ever the time is available!

Yeah the new standard items are a bonus... We only called into Caravanland here in Perth on Friday just to have a look at the layouts and to see what they had in the way second hand ones.

Ended up going back Saturday morning and put a deposit down on one of the new ones just delivered for stock. Was the extras that sold us.
Only thing is ours has the 2013 leaf spring suspension but we got a few extra $'s off for it.

Yeah seems to work fine for me, however I only use the WDH and bars when on the black top, never use them when I leave that. I have found the the WDH just helps to ensure both car and van are level when I am traveling.

Have you got a pic of the hitch set up with the bars on? How did you combat the way the receiver of the tregg bolts on, since it sits over the edge of the tongue?
