20.63-1 OutBack Ball Weight

G'day all, Just wondering if anybody has issues with the weight stamped on their ID plates for the ball weight . My seems incredibly low ( both laden and unladen) for the size of the van. Having just returned from a decent sized getaway with the van packed i weighed the ball weight of the van at 205Kgs which is above the maximum stated at 186Kgs. The main issue is most of the weight loaded into the van is loaded towards the back of the van. The main heavy objects packed in the van would be ( my guess) annexe , fridge contents , bathroom contents ( dirty clothes , washing machine ) and these are all located well towards the back of the van. We also have a Fiamma 3 bike rack on the back. Water tanks were both empty. The only thing located at the front was a small 2 burner BBQ on the A frame. ( 6-7 kgs heavy at a guess) .
The empty weight stated on the plate is 139Kgs , which i think is totally unobtainable even with the Gas bottles off.
ATM and GVM are all OK . 2800Kgs approx stated on the plate and we are in at about 2500-2600Kgs loaded. It is just the ball weights that appear odd. Surely they recognise at jayco that people are going to put the basics in the van to travel

I have a on road mod 20/63.1 had a low ball weight I got a new plate made up increased loaded ball weight to 250kg thanks to gippsland jayco the orig plate was only 170 kg loaded you could never pack a van that light ?

Thanks Brotys, this was the line of thinking i was going down. I will approach my dealer and if neccessary Jayco themselves. Like youself i dont think even with my van completely empty i could achieve the ball weight they state. I am going to completely empty the van and take it in for a service that is needed anyway, and get it reweighed empty. I am in the scale industry , and will supply them with a certified dynomometer to test it with. Hopefully this will show them that the stated weights are unobtainable and get the plate redone.
I would be interested if anyone else out there with a 20.63-1 , what your plate states. My brother has basically exactly the same van as mine , almost the next off the line, and his plate is completely different.

I just had a look on my compliance plate and mine is basically the same as yours.

Empty 159 and max 206 as soon as one of the water tanks are full I am over 206max

I too will be getting in contact with Jayco tomorrow and asking them to increases my max ball loading and issue a new compliance plate with a bit of luck.
