Hi All,

I picked up a 18.57-6 in March and have been enjoying it ever since, compared to Burnsy I have had very few issues with it so far, only stuck locks and a microwave that does not work, all of which have been easily fixed by the local Jayco offical service centre at Port Kembla near Wollongong. Off soon for a 2 week camping trip to the Murray and Bonnie Doon so I might get some pics of that up as well.
I am Pomie who was dragged here my my wife 13 years ago and we have two young girls hence the new van with the bunks as they kept on fighting in the old Hawk that we did have as they had to share a bed in that, we live near to Wollongong and love the caravan/camping life.

Cheers

Welcome aboard chaser, looks like a nice setup you have.

We accept Pommies in the forum, no discrimination here :D and after 13 years I guess you don't really want to leave us. We have a few members around the 'Gong so you're in good company. Keep us posted with your travels and your van and enjoy the countryside.

:welcome: @Chaser, we're comfortable with cultural diversity! Nice to have another '18' join the fleet (size does matter!)
Bet it's not just the young ladies in our family that are pleased with the move up from the Hawk, eh?

Thanks guys, Xpanda I got it with the solar wiring standard on the outback I think, and the battery. I am looking into the panels and reguator at the moment, just could not afford it at the time of purchase and I seem to recall it was not a cheap option from Jayco.
I will be borrowing my in-laws 22 year old honda generator for the next trip as we are off power for about 10 days and not sure how long the battery will last, so I will suss it out and make a decission from there.
I will let you know how I go.

We got the second battery and will go purchase folding 220w solar panel, will be interested to know how long your single battery lasts. I'm tossing up whether to get 2kw honda gen or the 3.3kw gennquip, tobe able to charge and also start and run the ibis aircon

Thanks Brad and Crackacoldie, I love Bonnie Doon we go there at least once a year to meet up with my brother who lives south of melbourne. Xpanda are you going to run a cable from the connecting point on the roof down the van somewhere so you don't have to climb up on the roof to plug in your folding panels? Only have been toying with that idea over fixed ones on the roof, but just can't make up my mind but I am leaning towards fixed but then how many panels and to what wattage, I am abit new to all that kind of stuff.

Cheers

Thanks Guys, I need to see if I can download a copy of that song for the trip down! As for the ashes I can't say I really follow the cricket Holden_man, I prefer Rugby so I enjoyed the Lions series and I was happy that the Wallabies finally got up this weekend.
