We heard today that our new van is on its way from Melbourne. Just want to find out of anyone on the forum has added on a box for storing annex poles? We had a aluminium box for storing our annex poles for our camper which worked well. I’ve seen PVC pipes on vans but wonder how long it will last. Any other options out there?

I had a PVC pipe on our vans for nearly 20 years, it's not on the expanda but is still out the back of the shed, only thing I've done to it was paint it with uv resistant paint.

I have fitted a PVC carrier to the rear of my 14.44 ob . I purchased the mounts from the dealer and got the pipe and fittings direct from a plumbing supplier as it was half the price of Bunnings . My annex poles came with a bag (Kakadu annex) I manage to leave them in the bag when I put them in the tube to help stop them getting scratched.
School holidays in three weeks, hope you have a holiday planned in the new van.
I got mine same time last year, we picked the van up from the dealer (Bundaberg) and just kept on going to 1770, Woodgate etc.

Here's ours. Made it up from 150mm tube, hangers straps and ends from Bunnings. Tek screwed it into the bumper bar, very sturdy.
No poles in it, though its there if we need it for those wet things that'll fit.

Pace.
