So excited, I just had to share! Our Eagle is up for sale (slow market atm) but put a deposit down for a 14.44-4 OB Expanda today, to pick up in October. Great sales people who helped us weigh up every option without the hard sell - super professional. Thanks to those on this forum who helped us decide which extras would be most helpful.

Have gone with the following extras:
  • roof top air
  • flat cushions for diner (so we can use it as a bed if we need to without having to buy the extra bed converter)
  • 150W Solar
  • 2 Gas
  • 2 Water tanks
  • Extra external light on driver's side
  • Bike rack
  • Bed storm flies
  • Coast to coast control panel
Decided against the extended draw bar for car port issues, and also decided the shelves in the robe weren't actually what we wanted - we love being able to use our portable hanging shelf unit to pack everything inside and take it all out to the Eagle in one trip rather than 4. Very handy for the odd stay in motels too. Hot water - we're going to get a Joolca unit to put on the draw bar. Thought about more powerpoints, but again, think we'll be just as happy with some powerboards.

Now to think about a privacy screen, door stopper etc, but have loads of time.

Congrats, we have the same van and are wrapped! I have the Joolca on the rear bar and run a permanent hose from the front to back so I can set the shower up at either end, the Joolca is a good unit. I added a couple of 12v sub chargers and that's enough power for us.

Hope the wait doesn't take too long!

I knew there was someone who'd put in a Joolca and was wondering how it was going.

Enjoy the wait .....and the planning.

Congrats on the purchase. Best Panda in the range but I am a little biased.

Well done @Crew family it sounds like a great van! Have you considered upgrading the coast to coast monitor to the drifter unit? They give more detailed info on water and power/solar usage as well as temperature and have a usb port. A good bit of gear.

Great choice! Fantastic step up.
Plenty of time to off load the eagle. Great thing about jaycos , they are well sought after.
Wise move with the hot water ,You'll love the joolca. A mate bought one a few months back for his swan, very nice indeed . Since then another mate has copied him.

Sold the Eagle!! A great family with 3 kids has taken it off our hands (in the middle of Melbourne Winter o_O!). Now just need to get through the chill and hold out for October delivery of our brand spanking 14.44-4.
YAY!!!
Need to start replacing the stuff I gave away with the Eagle now: ground sheet, privacy screen, water hose, etc and start reading your wonderful forums on: sliding drawers, water filters, Joolca HWS, TV (never had one in van before - which brand/bracket best), et al.

Congrats on the sale, must be a relief.
I would recommend getting the factory to install the bracing in the wall for the TV mount. I have installed a 12V TV/DVD combo LCD unit purchased from Aldi. Does the job. I also purchased the bracket from Aldi.
