Hi all, just picked up our 2005 Jayco Expanda 16.49-1. It hasn't been setup with battery but has the usual Setec ST20 onboard.

I will install our AGM battery to the Setec. I noticed that on battery equipped vans they have a battery switch which looks like a light switch. Is that what they are actually using or is this some kind of specific 12v switch? I assume it's got to be good for 50A or similar. Can't seem to find these online anywhere.

Anyone else added battery and switch?

The switch is just your ordinary standard household light switch, it doesn't need to be good for 50 amp as the wires would melt before the switch had any problem, the wiring is only about 30 amp stuff if your lucky but wouldn't be carrying that much......I was always going to pull it out and replace it with a toggle switch with an armament switch cover so it wouldn't get knocked accidentally.
I would just run 6mm cable to the Setek even that might be too heavy for it, no need for 8 B&S or larger.
