Neat, but a bit expensive. Companion one on eBay selling for $99. Evaporative coolers OK only if very low relative humidity, otherwise theydon't greatly improve comfort over straight fan. Likewise misting fans.

The important thing about an evaporative air cooler is the ability to completely change the volume of air in a room in a given time otherwise it becomes humid not sure of the exact figures its been a few years since I was in the industry. Also you would need be able to draw from a fresh air supply as recirculating humid air only makes it more humid

And if it is humid outside, adding water to humid air only gives you damp furniture. Or camp near the beach or a stream.

We find a couple of fans work well, took the bracket off the fan and pop riveted some electrical conduit on so they clip to the bar and plug into the lights.
