Nice looking setup, brookes. I have the same mirrors and they are great as long as the suction cup holds. Both mine came loose and the arm was swinging in the wind until I noticed it and has marked the door of the car. I now make sure they do not come free too easily.

Have a great and safe trip and merry Christmas to you and yours.

So our setup at at Toowoon Bay CP. Hot the first couple of days then rain and wind the next :(. Having power problems (battery and gas in a CP) and will need to swing by a repairer on the way out of town on the 27th. Has anyone had dealings with Central Coast Caravans in Tuggarah?

Here we are:

What's happened?

Lotsa wind and rain causing the circuit breaker in the van or pole to trip. Came good once the rain stopped and given I'm not expecting much rain out west I may leave it till I get back..... loads of silicon back in the shed.

Here we are in Dubbo. Not going to the zoo or Goal as we have done that several times before, but will visit tourist info and the kids can choose somewhere. Going to stock up with stuff ready to head out to Sturt NP. The next stop at the moment is White Cliffs and perhaps stay in the underground Hotel, or the CP park. Also, still deciding if it might be better to stay at the CP in Tibooburra or in the NP. Picture of us setup in Dubbo, they only had Drive through sites:

So from Dubbo to White Cliffs and while they have a CP there we experienced the Underground Hotel v.good, kids loved it and we would go back. They let me plug into a 15amp outlet they had in the carpark.

Off to Tibooburra for a couple of days in Sturt NP. No electricity or water but we are good to go. I duct taped all the vents for the White Cliffs dirt road drive. Didnt stop it all but very effective. Here is camp.

Arrived into Broken Hill yesterday after driving down the Silver City HWY from Tibooburra. I think HWY is a bit of an exaggeration as some of the dirt sections were quite bad and here is the proof:

Will be straightening and strengthening that today if anywhere is open.

Now this is us in Broken Hill:

My advice for people arriving in the Broken Hill CP to ask for a grass site as the wood chips are awful! I washed the car upon arrival as I bought a brown one not half grey. Will wash the van on departure to Mildura.

Ahh trip report... Hmm I'm not sure I have the wordcraft or the pictures, I only take a few, when I remember. I meant to take pictures of the van all duct taped for dust minimisation, but alas! It was quite effective but dust still gets in. On reflection I should have put some around the rear bed end as it was the next worst. I did about 300k dirt what with some GPS inspired side tracks.

The offending elbow ... filled with dirt and a couple of pebbles so have removed the drain cover just waiting for the "quick" repair on the water supply in the CP for me to flush out the tank fitting. Fingers crossed most of the water flows out the drain rather then in the tank as the tank is bone dry.
