Ok, had a go the other day at welding on a new wheel (and fitting)
@Burnsy gave me a few tips so I thought I'd have a crack
I did a great job of grinding off the old bracket. Got it so smooth that I was patting myself on the back and high fiveing the kids.

Then came the welding. Looks like my career options have just shortened by one. My welding was terrible. I'm too ashamed to post a pic. The good news is that it seems to be strong but the bad news is that I cant take it out in public!

I've got a family friend that is very handy with the welder so he is coming around later in the week to fix it.

I might post up a pic of his work and claim it as mine.
