I know the new D4D'd are very economical, beginning of this year I had to drive from our mine site to Pt Hedland (520Kms)
it was returning 8L per 100k
not bad at 110 all the way

Mine runs between 9.5 and 10l p/100km. That's a mix of 70% city driving and 30% highway.

Pure highway driving around 7.5-8l p/100km. If I sit on 93kph I get 6.8-7.0

My 2008 Nissan xtrail 2.0 deseil does exactly the same

@The Goodwins have you (or anyone else) put a 2 inch lift plus airbags in your Prado? I am thinking of putting in a Tough Dog 2 inch lift and Firestone Airbags. Interested in anyone's views re performance towing their Panda.

Hey @Simon ARB and firestone as well as the airbag man actually make bags designed to go standard or with the lift. FYI I have chosen NOT to go with bags this time and revert back to a load level system as I feel the bags are;
1. Not reliable
2. Prone to Damage
3. Doesn't distribute the load as well as I like

I have also started running the rear tyre, when the van is on, at 50psi as recommended but remember I am running 75's instead of 65's on the truck.
See what you think before the purchase as the Hayman Reese units are actually very well priced next to the airbags these days.
