So this is the other major issue - the cracked windows. It's almost impossible to see when the windows are fully closed, but easy to spot when open and once you know it's there you can see it from all angles, maybe even from space!

I looked around but couldn't find where I read about cracked windows and a recall on them, it was a manufactureres recall I seem to recall...............I wouldn't worry about wasting money on Nitrogen in the tyres, race cars yes, trucks mmm maybe ( had in a truck for awhile then gave up wasn't worth the hassle), put it in van tyres, ha money grab.

Thanks Bluey, they will have all that and then some to do on ours when they get it.
I noticed that one of the things they do is grease the jockey wheel clamp - I guess they do that because it comes un greased when you pick it up! Well ours did anyway :)

Im sure there will be more once the time comes, but the short list so far for us is...

  • RHS front top clip – bottom screws ripped out (temp repair with match stick & silicon)
  • Air conditioner leaking inside cabin after 30-45 mins run on cooling
  • Cupboard hinge ripped out of door (above bench cupboard)

Just reading about the air-cons leaking and ours had water dripping inside as well. Forgot to mention that at the 2nd service but sounds like you guys have experienced it as well. We haven't used it much on humid days and with summer coming up it could start flooding through again.

Our cupboard hinge above the stove broke as well. When you open the cupboard the top piece moves from the movement. Asked to have it fixed and they said they couldn't. Not happy with that as it should function as intended. In fact a 3mm gap even appeared between the overhead modules along with all the latches working when they felt like it.

On another note, our power points are really hard to push plugs in and take out. With the one at the cupboard on the left when you walk in the van, the whole switch frame assembly moves when you try and pull a plug out its that tight. I was told this was normal.... I wanted it fixed because I know it 'will' break and then I'll have to pay to have it fixed, but again told it was normal. The power point at our sink is also too tight to push the kettle plug in safely without twisting your back? Reported this and told that's normal as well. Anyone else's power points hard to use?

Interesting we have not used our much since it leaked. Jayco said they heard nothing about them when we dropped in.
Might run the A/C next hot day and see. Also going to look see if I see the pipe :)

So the Expanda goes in for its first service tomorrow, where they will actually be doing the second service instead, along with addressing my list of warranty issues.
Let's hope they don't have it for too long because we've got a trip planned week after next!

Thought I should give an update after the service. The dealer did manage to 'fix' most things on my list (I had 11 things all up), some even in an acceptable fashion!
They were unable to get the A/C to leak, nor find the source of the water tank leak. Both windows were replaced on the day, so all good there, but they now move along the track when opened, and can get out of alignment when closing and need a bit of shuffling. Cupboard hinge was poorly repaired, so I 'asked' that they do a better job while I waited, which they did.
They also found a break in the brake wiring and repaired that. I dare say this was due to rock strike, but could have been easily avoided in the first place if the cabling was run in concealed locations and not stretched tight from point to point in several places underneath.
Paperwork was pretty light on, nothing like the fancy check sheet from Prestige Geelong that @Bluey posted!
One thing I did notice on the paperwork we did get was the 2 hour labour charge. So by the look of it, a service where they need your van all day, that takes 2+ months to get a booking for, only takes 2 hrs!
Clearly these guys are busy, but would it kill them to put on a few more "RV Technicians"? I'd be far happier as a customer if I could ring up with a service issue and get it booked in within a week or so.
After I got it back I had it parked outside when a big storm hit and we ended up with a fair amount of water inside the van from the skylight. There was no way I was going to wait another 2 months to book it back in so they could just squeeze the contents of a silicon tube all around it.
I pulled the skylight out and found that there was a fair bit of discrepancy when it came to the application of the silicon and it was nowhere near enough in some places. Pulled it all up and cleaned the whole thing up and sealed it all back up again and put it back together. I anticipate no further issues.

@S&P We had the same problem with the skylight on ours..... Took it to a service/warranty agent and he knew what the cause was without looking at it. The silicon used to seal them does not stick to the plastic used in the skylights. If it happens again remove and clean the area requiring sealing then roughen the same area up with sandpaper, re-apply silicon and re-fit the skylight.

They did that to ours and our first trip away after that we had an overnight storm (No comment from fellow WA members please :p ) and not a drop to be seen in the van :)

@dagree yeah I did the same when I resealed ours. As soon as I'd unscrewed it from the inside and removed the inner section it was pretty evident where the water was getting in. Same issue as you describe - silicon not adhering to the plastic. Out with the Wet or Dry and a better grade of silicon and enough of it too (the original/factory job was inconsistent, lots on part, virtually none on others). Let it cure in the shed for a few days then rolled it out into the weather. Melbourne being Melbourne, we had a storm a few days later. Checked it all when I got home from work, and she's all dry inside!
Cheers,
Paul
