We have the Weber Q (whatever is the next size up from the baby Q) and use it at home and in the van for a family of 5. We just sit it on the floor inside the door of the van. We've had the dining table bed left made up otherwise would place it under the table (carton of beer fits nicely under the bed but not the weber).

Yeah that's the model we have now. We're in the midst of getting ready for some extended trips up north west (Karajini, gibb river road, etc) so want as minimal sitting in the van that has to be moved each time we setup and pack up. So tables under bed lids, box for BBQ and generator, box on back for camping chairs, Jerry can, etc.

fixed the issue quite easily in the end. just bought one of these from BBQ Galore (was cheaper in store than online).
converts the babyQ into a simple BBQ, which is what i really want. easy as.

I'm down in Baldivis so a bit far. But was about the same cost at barbecues galore in Rockingham. Will test it out next trip and let you know. I prefer a BBQ to a Weber style cooking, so hopefully this will get our toolbox sorted now.

yeah, I was not impressed with the grill............ the eggs kept falling through, thats why I got the flat plate :behindsofa:

We got these things called egglets from this site http://www.campingwithhillbilly.com/index.html in our webber we do bacon on the flat side and eggs in these on the grill side...they are awesome and the eggs just slip right out. They are a bit expensive though $8 each and $4 each for postage. A friend did see them at a camping and 4wd show too.
